Peanut Butter Blossoms

Peanut butter and chocolate are quite the match, which is why these cookies are so delicious! Peanut butter cookies with a hershey's kiss on top? It doesn't get much better than that! You should make these tasty cookies. You won't be disappointed!
Here's what you'll need...
shortening, one egg, creamy peanut butter, vanilla, milk, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, flour, and most importantly, Hersey's kisses!

Cream together the peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk, vanilla, and egg.  Then add the salt, baking soda, and flour.
roll the dough into walnut size balls and roll in white sugar...

...and place on an ungreased cookie sheet

flatten the balls slightly. Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes

while the cookies are in the oven, unwrap the hershey's kisses

After you take the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for about a minute. Then, press the Hershey's kiss into the center of the cookie (but not all the way!)
**remember that the cookies may not look completely done, but they continue to bake even after they come out of the oven.
Enjoy!

Banana Bread

I've always been a huge fan of banana bread, and this is definitely my favorite recipe! It always turns out super moist and delicious. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do!

What you'll need...
butter, eggs, ripe bananas, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, vanilla, cinnamon,  nutmeg, and ground cloves

First, mash bananas! Then, with a wooden spoon, mix in melted butter.

Add sugar, egg, vanilla, and then the spices. Sprinkle salt and baking soda on top of the mixture and stir. Add the flour last.

pour the mixture into a buttered pan and put in the oven.

bake at 350 for 50 min to an hour
(until tester comes out clean)

Let the bread cool, and remove from pan.

Slice, serve, and enjoy!

What you need:

3 to 4 ripe bananas, smashed
1/3 cup melted salted butter
3/4 to 1 cup light brown sugar (depending on the level of sweetness you prefer, I always use the smaller amount)
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch of ground cloves
1 1/2 cup of flour

What you do:

Preheat the oven to 350°F. With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla, then the spices. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to one hour, or until a tester comes out clean. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

The best rolls EVER

These rolls are seriously the best. Its hard to have just one! I always catch myself going for two or three...Thankfully I'm not the only one who can't get enough of these delicious rolls. Try one for yourself! Or two...or maybe even three.

here's what you'll need...
Flour, sugar, butter, salt, yeast, evaporated milk, eggs, and salt

pour hot water, canned milk, and 1 1/2  T.  of sugar into the mixing bowl, then sprinkle the yeast on top.

to save time, add the rest of the sugar to the eggs...

....and the salt to the butter while the yeast is activating.

add the eggs and sugar mixture

then add 6 cups of flour and mix until wet

next, add the butter and salt mixture

then add 6 more cups of flour

mix for about 10 minutes until smooth

roll out the dough onto a baking sheet.
(you can roll out the dough however you want, I prefer to do knots)

cover the pans with a light cloth or dish towel and let the dough rise until double in size
(this usually takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours)
bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes

dont forget the butter! YUM

1 ½ CUPS HOT WATER
1 can evaporated milk
6 Tablespoons yeast
1 ½ Tablespoons sugar
Mix together above ingredients and let foam for 3 to 5 minutes to activate yeast.  Then add 6 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 ¼ cups sugar, and 6 cups flour.  Mix until moistened.
Next, add 1 ½ cups melted butter, cooled, 3 teaspoons salt, and 6 more cups flour.  Mix on high for 10 minutes. (can also be kneaded by hand until smooth and elastic.)
Roll out and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.  I usually can get 60-70 rolls from this recipe!
