Momma's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Growing up, my mom was known for her incredible chocolate chip cookies. I loved helping her make them. I would practice and practice making them on my own until I had the recipe mastered. Now I'm famous for them, too! These cookies are a winner every time, and they are so easy to make! WARNING: If you make these cookies even once and share with friends and family, you WILL be asked over and over again to make some more. They are THAT good.

This is what you will need:

Can you spot the secret ingredient?? Yes, its the JELL-O! The pudding keeps the cookies soft and gooey inside. YUM

Combine the Crisco, butter, and sugars until creamy

Add in the eggs, then the vanilla, salt, and baking soda

Next comes the JELL-O and flour. Mix well and add chocolate chips.

Don't be shy with the chocolate chips! The more the better, right?

Scoop cookie dough onto and ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.

The best time to take the cookies out of the oven is when you see the rims of the cookies just start to turn golden brown. The cookies may look like they're not completely done, but keep in mind that they continue to brown even after you take them out of the oven.

Let them cool and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget the milk!!

What you'll need:

½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 small or 1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix
2 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate chips

What you'll do:

Cream butter, shortening, and sugars until smooth and creamy.  Add eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and pudding mix.  Beat together.  Add flour and blend well.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for approximately 10 minutes.
